BSK 1818 AG (formerly known as Landesbank Berlin AG) is an issuer of both mortgage and public sector covered bonds. The core of BSK 1818 AG is Berliner Sparkasse which was established in 1818 by the municipality of Berlin. In its customer business areas, BSK 1818 AG operates exclusively under the brand name "Berliner Sparkasse". As a public law institution with partial legal capacity and a branch of BSK 1818 AG, Berliner Sparkasse is a customer-oriented, innovative institution for retail clients, regional corporate banking and commercial real estate financing. It is the full service bank of the german capital and has more than 30 percent market share of the Berlin banking market.
