Dr. Tim Lassen

Dr. Tim Lassen has been a member of the management board of the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp, Berlin) since 1 June 2024. Dr. Lassen has been working for the vdp since April 2023, initially as Senior Manager in the Legal / Cover Assets division, since the beginning of 2024 as Deputy Head, and since 1 June 2024 as Head of this division. After studying law at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, he worked for the Association of German Mortgage Banks (VDH, Bonn/Berlin, vdp since 2005) from March 1998 to September 2005. Among other things, he was involved in drafting the Pfandbrief Act before joining Eurohypo AG in Eschborn in October 2005.
Eurohypo, which became "Hypothekenbank Frankfurt" in 2012, was the largest vdp member institution at the time. In the following years, he took on various tasks there, from 2007 as Deputy Head of the Moscow Representative Office.
From February 2014 to April 2023, he worked for an international financial and industrial holding company in various management positions in the areas of international legal issues, M&A, corporate and real estate financing and commercial real estate management in Moscow.
Dr. Lassen is the author of numerous publications on the law of real estate financing and Covered Bonds in Europe and is a long-standing member of the vdp initiated think tanks "Round Table Covered Bond Legislation" and "Round Table Security Rights over Real Property".
