Walter Mayer

Walter Mayer has many years’ experience in the areas of treasury and risk management at Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark. In his current role, he is responsible for asset-liability management.

After studying business administration at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz, he joined Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark in 2004. Initially, he worked in market risk control, focusing on liquidity risk measurement. In 2013, he moved to the Capital Markets & Treasury division, where he took on responsibilities in liquidity management.

Since 2017, he has been responsible for liquidity management at the Raiffeisenbank Group Styria in its capacity as the central cash settlement office, as well as for the group’s capital market activities and central collateral management. Since 2021, his area of responsibility has also included asset-liability management at Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark.
