Dr. Michael Holstein

Dr. Michael Holstein is chief economist and heads the Economics Department at DZ BANK in Frankfurt. The main research areas are business cycle analysis and forecasting for the major industrialized countries. Before he came to the then DG BANK in 1998, Dr. Holstein was a research associate at the Institute of Economic Growth and Distribution at Frankfurt University, and between 1991 and 1993 he was working on basic issues of fiscal policy at the Thuringian Ministry of Finance.
