Dr. Jörg Krämer

Dr. Jörg Krämer is Chief Economist of Commerzbank AG and Divisional Board Member for Research.

Previously he was Chief Economist at Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank in Munich and Chief Economist of Invesco Asset Management Deutschland GmbH in Frankfurt.

Dr. Krämer started his career at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy where he worked on his Ph. D. with Prof. Dr. Horst Siebert, the former President of the Institute, as doctoral advisor.

Dr. Krämer has been a member of the ECB's Shadow Council since 2009.

He was born in Düsseldorf and studied economics at the universities of Bonn and Münster.
